Product properties
BOSMAN Plasterboard and OSB Adhesive is a single-component, super-fast and strong product characterized by a quick initial tack, significantly accelerating work progress. It does not shrink, ensuring the stability of bonded elements. It adheres excellently to most building materials and is easy to apply. Applications: BOSMAN Plasterboard and OSB Adhesive is designed for the quick installation of plasterboards and OSB boards, gypsum-cement boards, wood-based boards, and magnesium boards as a finishing layer on floors, walls, and columns. It adheres excellently to substrates made of regular concrete, autoclaved aerated concrete, ceramic brick, silicate brick, wood-based boards (OSB), XPS, EPS, and PVC boards.
How to use
Before use, store the foam container at room temperature for at least 12 hours. Use at an ambient temperature between -5°C and +30°C. Before application, shake the container vigorously approximately 20 times, then remove the valve cap and screw the spray gun onto the container. Hold the container upside down while applying. Surfaces must be clean, free of dust, grease, and dirt, and free of any old contaminants such as flaking layers. We recommend checking the adhesion of existing plaster and paint coatings. If plaster or paint adhesion is poor, remove them. Surfaces should be even, stable, sound, dry, and definitely free of frost or water stains. Protect from direct sunlight by covering with paint, plaster, or tape. Before gluing the board to the wall, place a spacer made of a piece of plasterboard or other material. OSB and plasterboards: Sand the OSB board to increase adhesion and remove dust. Apply a 2-3 cm wide bead of the product around the perimeter of the board, approximately 5 cm from the edge, and zigzag through the center (if necessary). At least 5% of the surface must be covered. Leave a gap between the beaded strips applied along the edge of the board to allow air to escape. The diameter of the beaded strips can be adjusted to level the wall surface. For larger unevenness, use double beaded strips applied layer upon layer. The maximum unevenness that can be corrected with the product is 20 mm. If unevenness exceeds 20 mm, additional spacers, e.g., made of plasterboard or other materials, should be used. The bonding of the glued elements to the substrate should be made as soon as possible after applying the product – within 1 to 2 minutes at most (we recommend waiting 1 minute after applying the adhesive – this depends on the ambient conditions). After placing the board against the wall, press it down carefully to pre-set its position. Avoid damaging the adhesive structure by pressing down hard or hitting the board. Then, after the initial adjustment, use a long spirit level to adjust the board's final position by carefully pressing it against the wall. Approximately 30 minutes after application, you can begin processing the board, i.e., filling and working the vertical and horizontal joints between the boards. Always test the product before application due to the variety of bonding materials.
