Product properties
Bosman gold’ foam is a one-component sealing and installation pu foam that undergoes curing under the influence of airborne moisture. Surface drying time: 10-14 minutes; complete curing time: max. 18 hours. ‘bosman’ foam is super-low-pressure, quick-drying, acoustically insulating, and permanently flexible. ‘bosman gold' foam is perfectly adhesive to most building materials (and super adhesive to pvc), except pe, silicone, ps, and teflon. The cured foam can be cut (already after 30-40 minutes), polished, plastered, and painted; however, it should be protected against direct sunlight. Thanks to its perfect expandability, it penetrates all pores and hollows, enabling complete sealing and insulation. It has many uses in the building industry, for example in building woodwork assembling, filling and insulating of cable bushings and pipe culverts, thermal insulation of water supply, sewerage and central heating systems, silencing and sealing of partition walls and car or boat cabs, and joining and sealing of prefabricated wooden elements during timber frame construction.
Application
Before use, keep the foam container at room temperature for at least 24 hours. Use in the ambient temperature from -5 C to +30 C. Before application, shake the can vigorously about 20 times, then remove the cap from the valve and screw the gun on it. When working, keep the container upside down. Before applying the foam, wet the substrate and then sprinkle the fresh foam with water. The surfaces must be clean, free from dust, grease and dust. Secure the adjacent surfaces with the adhesive tape. Protect the door and window frames against deformation during hardening by spreading them. Use a Bosman foam cleaner to clean the gun and remove fresh uncured foam. Hardened foam can only be removed mechanically. Protect the filled gaps against sunlight.
